Novoye Vremya (The New Times) is regarded as Ukraine’s leading Western-oriented weekly. The Russian-language print edition is published on Fridays. The digital edition is published in both Ukrainian and Russian. More and more content is made available only to paying subscribers. The website is among the country’s ten largest news sites. The core of the editorial team originally worked at Korrespondent, which was sold in 2013. The owner is the Czech-born investment banker Tomas Fiala, who is building a new media group around the magazine which now includes a radio station.
