The Tages-Anzeiger is Switzerland's most subscribed daily. It was founded in 1893 and is now the leading paper in the Zurich region, with a strong nationwide presence. Its publisher is the TX Group (formerly Tamedia), one of the largest media companies in Switzerland. Commentaries and reports are shared with all the other Tamedia newspapers. The Tages-Anzeiger and the Süddeutsche Zeitung share the same foreign correspondent network, also for commentary pieces.
