To Vima was seen as the journalistic flagship of the Lambrakis Press Group, once Greece's largest media group. In November 2010 its print edition was withdrawn from circulation as a result of sinking advertising revenues, a dwindling readership and journalistic errors that discredited the publication in the eyes of its readers. It is now published daily online, while the print version only appears on Sundays. In May 2017, the heavily indebted DOL was sold for 22.89 million euros to 'Alter Ego', the company of the shipowner and owner of football clubs Olympiakos Piraeus and Nottingham Forest, Evangelos Marinakis.
