Since 2018, the online portal Alfa is owned by the Lithuanian media group Naujienų centras, so it also publishes some content from these magazines, such as IQ and IQ Life. Prior to that, the portal was owned by the Baltic Media group. It was founded in 2006 by the cross-industry Lithuanian group MG Baltic. Alfa launched with a reality TV show for novice journalists.
