Although he collaborated with the Bulgarian secret service while the country was under communist rule, after 1989 Ivo Indzhev made a name for himself as a critical journalist. In 2006 he was fired by his employer bTV after he confronted the Bulgarian president at the time Georgi Parvanov with unconfirmed allegations of corruption. Since 2008 he has focussed mainly on his blog, which deals with relations between Bulgaria and Russia.
