Die Nachdenkseiten is an authors' portal founded by the SPF politicians Albrecht Müller and Wolfgang Lieb. It positions itself as a predominantly left-wing critical alternative to the mainstream media. In 2009 it was awarded the Alternative Media Prize, but came under increasing criticism after 2010. In 2015 Lieb withdrew from the project saying that he could no longer support the editorial direction the portal was taking, with its overly simplistic friend-foe approach. Another allegation is that the paper spreads conspiracy theories.
