Founded in 1978, the daily Cinco Días is the oldest business newspaper in Spain. Since 1989 it has belonged to the Prisa media group (El País, As), which has always tended to align with the Socialists. The website shares its newsroom with El País and its economics editor is also its editor-in-chief.
