The country's biggest news magazine changed its name from Elsevier to EW in 2020. The magazine's political orientation is distinctly right-wing liberal. It first appeared in 1946 and is aimed above al at conservative middle-class business entrepreneurs and students. It brings out special issues on topics such as university studies or literature on a regular basis. Published for many years by Reed Elsevier, EW was acquired by the Flemish Roularta Media Group in 2022.
