In 2011 Tomasz Sakiewicz, the publisher of the nationalist weekly magazine Gazeta Polska, decided to launch a daily newspaper aimed at providing an alternative to the established papers. Gazeta Polska Codzienne represents a conservative to nationalist standpoint and has close ties to the ruling PiS party.
