Ziarul Financiar (the" Financial Paper") is mainly aimed at Romania's business and finance community. The newspaper belongs to the Mediafax Group led by media entrepreneur Adrian Sârbu, who also owns the Mediafax news agency and the online paper Gândul. There has been a lawsuit against Sârbu for possible tax evasion with his media company since 2016. In mid-March 2020, the publisher announced that it would put the print edition on hold until things returned to normal after the corona crisis.
