L’Avenir is a regional paper with nine different editions in Francophone Belgium. At the beginning of 2020, the publisher's owner Nethys-Enodia announced the sale of its financially troubled press division, which had also included L'Avenir since 2014. The purchasing condition was: The Notre Avenir cooperative, including its employees, readers and investors, were to have a greater say in the future.
