Le Courrier is a Geneva daily that was founded as a Catholic newspaper in 1868. Since parting ways with the Church in 1996 the Courrier has pursued a leftwing course. The paper is published by a non-commercial association and finances itself with regular fundraising campaigns. A digitization project is making historical editions accessible on the online portal of the Swiss National Library.
