The weekly magazine Le Point was founded in 1972 by former journalists from the news magazine L'Express. Its point of reference is the US Time Magazine. In 1997 it was bought by businessman François Pinault and his company Artémis. The renowned cultural journalist and writer Christophe Ono-dit-Biot (CODB) is a member of the chief editorial team.
