LRT was launched as the website of Latvia's public broadcaster in 2000. It appears in English, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian, as well as Lithuanian. Like all outlets that form part of the public broadcasting network, the website is vulnerable to political instrumentalisation, but has withstood the pressure so far.
