Observator Cultural

Observator Cultural (The Cultural Observer) is a literary weekly magazine that mainly covers Romania's culture and arts scene but also features debates on political issues. The magazine is financed by subscriptions and advertising, as well as funding from Romania's Ministry of Culture and other cultural institutions. In 2005 some of the journalists left the magazine following disagreements over financing. In 2014 the paper was designated Newspaper of the Year by the Association of Romanian Booksellers and Publishers APLER.
