Radikal

Radikal was closed down for good in March 2015. After years of dwingling sales its print version had been discontinued and since June 2014, was available only online. Founded in 1996 as a liberal daily it made a name for itself through its coverage of cultural topics, its background articles and its well-known columnists. For a long time it was seen as the leading media outlet for young, urban people in Turkey. Like Hürriyet newspaper it belonged to Turkey's leading media company Doğan Media Group, which was sold to the pro-government Demirören Holding company in 2018.
