In compliance with EU directives, the public radio and television broadcaster RTV Slovenija launched MMC multimedia centre to be active in the new media sector. Its main task is to provide interactive accompaniment to RTV's radio and television programmes online. The RTV Slovenija website is now one of Slovenia's most visited websites.
