Founded in 1989, the Business Post, a Sunday newspaper, bills itself as “Ireland's Newspaper for Politics, Economics and Finance”. It has no sports section. A decline in sales and advertising revenues took the paper to the brink of ruin in 2013. A change of ownership and a substantial staff cutbacks enable dthe liberal paper to stay in business. In 2019 The Sunday Business Post was renamed Business Post. There were further staff cuts in April 2020. The Business Post has not published its print circulation figures since 2019.
