The Daily Telegraph is the UK's second most popular quality newspaper after The Times. Its unwavering support of the Conservative party has earned it the nickname the “Torygraph”. Predictably anti-Labour and anti-European in all its commentaries and blogs, the Daily Telegraph is entirely devoid of the culture of debate that characterises other newspapers like the Guardian. In 2016, the Telegraph put a large part of its online content behind a paywall. This model has proven commercially successful and it currently has more than 730,000 subscribers to its online and print editions. The Daily Telegraph stopped making print media data public in 2020.
