The tvnet website was launched in 2005 by the Estonian Eesti Meedia Group. Its content is published in both Latvian and Russian. It is Latvia's second most popular website after Delfi, but focuses more than Delfi on sensationalist content and celebrity news, in addition to standard news. In 2014, it was announced that Tvnet had acquired the news and entertainment website Apollo.lv from the Finnish media group Sanoma. The content of the two websites is very similar. Since the end of 2020 the Tvnet website also features the online magazine Klik, which includes paid content.
