Most of Večer's readers live in the northeast of Slovenia as this daily paper focuses on events in that region, but also covers international affairs. Like all Slovenian daily newspapers, Večer has been losing readers for years. After several failed attempts to sell the paper, Dober večer acquired a 79 percent stake in Večer in 2014. Večer Mediji d.o.o. is now the sole owner of the daily.
