The TV3 website was launched in 2005 by private individuals and became part of the Balsas.lt leidiniai media group in 2007. Its main focus is sensational news and entertainment. In 2015, the Swedish Modern Times Group, which owned the TV channel TV3, took over several websites whose content now appears under the name Tv3.lt. The website as well as several broadcasters were acquired by the US investment company Providence Equity in 2017.
