The weekly magazine was founded by a group of journalists with the aim of connecting social and environmental issues more closely. With its analyses and reflections, Politis wants to offer a unique and engaging view of current events. In 1998 Politis was a founding member of the globalization-critical network Attac. The magazine is constantly in the red and repeatedly launches appeals for donations.
