The conservative daily Karar was launched in April 2015 as an e-paper and began publishing a print edition in March 2016. It is said to have close ties to former AKP chairman and prime minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. He left the AKP in September 2019 and founded the Gelecek Partisi (future party).
