Causeur was launched in 2007 by essayist and journalist Elisabeth Lévy as a pluralist debate platform. The idea was to shake up the country's "monotonous" media landscape, and the platform has caused a stir on several occasions. Selected commentaries and analyses are available on subscription only and published in the Causeur magazine, which is published on a monthly basis.
