At the end of 2015, four Romanian journalists who had left their previous online and television editorial offices launched the Republica.ro blog. Together with more than 350 public figures, experts, entrepreneurs, students and NGO activists they comment on and analyse current events. Many of the contributions tend to be conservative and economic liberal, even if Republica.ro is reluctant to name its political direction. The blog entries are free of charge, the blog itself is financed by advertising. The four blog founders spend most of their time working for the private television channel Digi 24.
