This online newspaper was first launched in 2009 as lifenews.ru but was renamed life.ru in 2016. In 2013, a TV and a radio station were added, but were both taken out of operation in 2017. Life.ru is highly sensational and occasionally initiates or participates in campaigns against Kremlin opponents. Its owner is former Izvestia boss Aram Gabrelyanov.
