Zaxid.net (The West) is a western Ukrainian news site. Founded in 2007, the news was initially also published in Russian and Polish but nowadays it appears only in Ukrainian. Aside from the news the site features articles on Ukrainian history by historians, political scientists and journalists as well as analyses of Ukraine’s domestic and foreign policy. It is owned by the media holding of the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi.
