In March 2018, the two Romanian journalists Cristian Pantazi and Dan Tăpălagă founded the blog Group 4 Media with the aim of publishing daily news, scandals, analysis and commentary. They had previously worked for many years as editors for the Romanian news site Hotnews. They claim to have no specific political orientation. Their aim is to help preserve the rule of law and modernise Romanian democracy. Their comments show that they are liberal-conservative in orientation. By their own account, they finance the blog through donations.
