Apostrophe is a news site founded in 2014. The editorial team originally consisted of journalists from the Kommersant Ukraine, which was shut down by the Russian publishing house after a conflict over the annexation of Crimea. In its mission statement the editorial team declares its commitment to the values of humanism, peace, democracy, social progress and human rights.
