Válasz Online was founded by some editors and journalists of the weekly newspaper Heti Válasz, which was discontinued in 2018. Its business model is based on voluntary, steady reader donations. Válas Online aims to publish a few, but well-researched, investigative pieces, analyses and interviews. It is critical of the government and defines itself as middle-class-conservative.
