Telegram.hr was founded by the son of Croatian media magnate Ninoslav Pavić, Miran Pavić. It describes itself as a "portal for social and cultural issues". Yet its reporting has quickly established itself as a site critical of the government alongside investigative journalism, appealing to a younger audience in both its form and presentation. Telegram.hr has managed to win over established journalists such as Drago Hedl or Sanja Modrić and has quickly become one of the most widely read news portals in Croatia.
