RFI România, the Romanian service of French state broadcaster Radio France International, was launched in 1990. The 24/7 programme can be received in six major cities in Romania, as well as in Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova. RFI România says it aims to bolster European values. The Romanian programme is broadcast 13 hours per day (7 am to 8 pm), with the rest of the broadcasting content coming from the French RFI programme.
