Moscow economics professor Konstantin Sonin is one of Russia's best-known economists. In parallel to his teaching activities at the University of Chicago and the renowned Moscow Higher School of Economics (from which, however, he was dismissed in July 2022), he is highly active in regime-critical media as a columnist on political issues. His Facebook account has 44,000 followers (December 2022).
