Vasily Golovnin is the long-time head of the correspondent bureau of Russian state news agency TASS in Tokyo. Until the closure of Novaya Gazeta in spring 2022, he also covered current affairs in Japan, China and Korea for the opposition newspaper. His Facebook channel has around 8,500 followers (December 2022).
