Şalom is a weekly newspaper published by Istanbul-based Jews. It was founded in 1947, when there was still a lively Jewish press in Turkey. The newspaper is published in Turkish and includes one page in Judeo-Spanish, the language of the Sephardic Jews who were expelled from Spain in the 15th century. The newspaper focuses on Turkey's Jewish community, Israel and minority issues.
